Youth-led Fraytik tsu Nakht Cultural Shabbes & Potluck

Fraytik tsu Nakht Cultural Shabbes & Potluck is open to all, beginning with our community's Secular Humanist Shabbes observance (songs and readings) followed by a potluck dinner. This special summer celebration will be led by the youth of the inaugural Peretz Zumershule summer program!

Since last Monday, this amazing group of kids (8-13) has been busy learning and experimenting with different forms of artistic expression, from making zines and writing poetry to Yiddish dancing and theatre, all with the support and guidance of members of our community who volunteered to run the daily workshops.

To mark the end of the program, we invite members of the community to celebrate and share in the creative work that these young Peretzniks have prepared for us. The kids are in charge of our after-dinner learning, so we don't know exactly what they will do -- but it may involve an art gallery, circus elements, comedy and/or mimes, a musical performance about credit card fraud, and any number of artistic surprises.

Admission: a contribution to the pot luck OR pay $18.00 per person (children are free).

Please register by Wednesday, August 6th to help us make sure there's enough food for everyone.

Food Allergy Alert: Do not bring food containing tree nuts, peanuts, or sunflower seeds. If the ingredient list says "may contain", it is ok.

Doors close at 7pm: The front door and underground parking lot will be closed automatically at 7pm. If you are running late, please make sure you have a friend you can contact to come downstairs and let you in.
