Sunday SchoolSundays, 10:30 am–12:30 pm Our students develop a sense of Jewish identity through fun, experiential activities that teach Jewish history, holidays, culture and values from a secular humanist perspective. Your child will learn a bit of Yiddish, a bit of Hebrew, a bit of holiday foods preparation, plus crafts, songs and games, and most importantly, a peer group. For girls and boys ages 7–10 or 11. As with all Peretz Centre activities, we especially welcome children of mixed marriages. For younger children, ages 4–7, we have instituted Community Sundays with a Difference. These will take place once a month. While the adults have a discussion group and a shmooze, the children will be learning about their Jewish heritage through stories, arts and crafts, games and songs. Afterwards, children from both classes will rejoin the adults for a pot luck lunch. Community Sunday with a Difference will run concurrently with Sunday School: 10:30–12:30.
