More information about our B'nai Mitsvah program

The goal of the Peretz Centre's two-year b'nai mitzvah program is to ensure Jewish continuity through teaching Jewish culture and traditions. All children with Jewish family ties are welcome.

During the two-year program, the children explore many aspects of Jewish history and culture, including topics such as the Ten Commandments, holidays and traditional foods, pogroms, the Holocaust, social justice, famous Jews, Israeli history and current affairs, Jewish humour, etc. For their ceremony, the children prepare a research project on a topic of their choice. The students' topics are listed beside their names.
